Both are around 25 minutes door-to-door on public transport, and a 10-to 15-minute drive. Getting to LuxWax from East Finchley

Both salons are simple journeys from East Finchley station.

By Tube and Bus to Crouch End

Take the Northern line southbound 2 stops to Archway, which takes about 4 minutes. It’s a 3-minute walk to Archway Station (Stop G), where the 41 towards Tottenham Hale drops you at Harvey Road / Hornsey, a few steps from our door. Allow roughly 25-30 minutes in total.

By Tube to Hampstead

Take the Northern line southbound to Camden Town, around 10 minutes, then change onto an Edgware branch train for 3 stops to Hampstead. From the station, it’s a 3-minute walk up Heath Street. It takes roughly 25 minutes in total, with no bus required.

By Car or Bike

Crouch End is about 12 minutes via the A504, covering 2.7 miles. Hampstead is 15 minutes via The Bishops Avenue, covering 3.3 miles. Cycling is a comfortable option too, at around 15 minutes to Crouch End and 20 minutes to Hampstead.

Parking

At Crouch End, free parking is available in the surrounding streets seven days a week, apart from 11am to 1pm on weekdays, when charges apply. At Hampstead, street parking is available with charges Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm.

The journey times are very similar, so opening hours are usually the deciding factor. Our two salons cover different days.

LuxWax Crouch End

73 Tottenham Lane, London N8 9BE

Open Monday to Wednesday 10am to 6:30pm, Thursday 10am to 8pm, Friday 10am to 6:30pm and Saturday 9am to 5pm. Closed Sunday. This is the salon to choose if you want a late Thursday appointment or an early Saturday slot before the day gets going.

LuxWax Hampstead

Gary Ingham Salon, 63–67 Heath Street, London NW3 6UG

Open Tuesday to Friday 10am to 7pm, Saturday 10am to 6pm and Sunday 10am to 5pm. Closed Monday. This is the one for full coverage weekend bookings, and the only LuxWax salon open on a Sunday.

If you need a Monday appointment, head to Crouch End. If you need a Sunday, head to Hampstead. Being located between the two salons, there isn’t a day of the week when you can’t get waxed. Wherever your week has a gap, there’s an appointment to fill it.

Bikini, Brazilian, Hollywood and our Full Monty treatment, carried out with discretion and a calm, expert approach. First-time clients are welcome and we’ll talk you through everything before we start.

Body and Leg Waxing

Half leg, full leg, underarm, arm, back, chest and stomach waxing for smooth results that often last three to four weeks.

Facial and Brow Waxing

Brow shaping, lip, chin and full face waxing, with careful attention to shape and symmetry.

Men's Waxing

Back, chest, shoulders and intimate waxing for men, tailored for comfort and precision, in a private treatment room.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

Before

Let your hair grow to around 1cm (roughly two weeks’ growth). Shorter than that and the wax has nothing to grip. Avoid exfoliation, fake tan and sunbeds for 24 hours beforehand, and skip heavy moisturiser on the day. During the consultation, we’ll take you through any additional preparation your treatment needs.

During

Your therapist will check the areas you want treated, explain what they’re doing and check in with you throughout. Most first-time clients tell us it was considerably more comfortable than they expected.

After

We’ll give you aftercare advice specific to the area treated. Broadly, avoid hot baths, swimming, saunas and vigorous exercise for 24 hours, and start gentle exfoliation after a couple of days to keep ingrown hairs at bay. We will talk you through any other specific aftercare instructions during the consultation process.

Safety and Hygiene

We operate a strict no-double-dipping policy. This means a fresh spatula for every application, with no exceptions. Equipment is sanitised before and after every client, surfaces are cleaned with medical-grade solutions, and single-use items are disposed of immediately.

Both salons are fully licensed and insured, and every therapist is trained in infection control and advanced hygiene practice. For laser and electrolysis, a skin assessment and patch test are carried out before any treatment begins.

Absolutely. A large proportion of our clients book intimate waxing on their first visit. Your therapist will explain the process before starting and work at a pace you’re comfortable with.
