Your Journey With Us
Before
For the best results, hair should be a minimum 3 weeks from shaving and/or 4 weeks from your last wax. Wash or shower if you are planning to wax your upper or lower body, and wear comfortable clean cotton clothing.
During
The hot and warm wax we use is designed to stick only to your body hair, not to your skin, which helps to protect the skin and make the hair removal virtually painless.
After
Your skin will be temporarily sensitive after waxing, Avoid baths, showers, swimming pools and do not use talcum powder, perfumed lotions or deodorants 24 hours after your wax.

What is waxing?

Why should I choose waxing over other hair removal methods?
Waxing is considered one of the most effective and long-lasting methods for removing body hair. Unlike shaving or using depilatory creams, which only remove hair from the surface, waxing removes hair from the root. This leads to a smoother and longer-lasting result.
How long will the results of waxing last?
The results of waxing typically last between 2 to 4 weeks, depending on your individual hair growth cycle. Since the hair is removed from the root, it takes longer to grow back compared to shaving, where hair regrowth is more noticeable within a few days.
What is the temperature of hot wax, and does it cause discomfort?
The hot wax is carefully heated to a range of 52-55 degrees Celsius, which is generally considered a comfortable temperature for most individuals. To further enhance your comfort during the waxing process, we apply an oil that acts as a protective barrier between the wax and your skin, reducing any potential discomfort. It’s important to note that the wax adheres to the hair rather than the skin, resulting in minimal pain.

What's the distinction between Hot Wax and Warm Wax?
What sets hot wax apart from warm wax is its ability to adhere solely to body hair rather than the skin, ensuring skin protection and a nearly painless removal experience. Its gentle nature makes it suitable for individuals with sensitive skin, minimising post-wax sensitivity.
On the other hand, warm wax, commonly referred to as strip wax, operates on a similar principle. It is typically employed for larger areas and effectively eliminates all types of hair, including fine strands.
How long does a waxing session take?
The duration of a waxing session depends on the specific treatment area. Here are the approximate time frames:
- Face: For treatments such as the upper lip, it generally takes about 10 minutes. If you opt for a full face wax, it may take around 20 minutes.
- Upper body: Treatment areas like underarms typically take up to 10 minutes. If you’re getting your full arms waxed, it may require approximately 25 minutes.
- Lower body: Most lower body treatments take up to 30 minutes.
- Full body: If you’re looking to get a wax for your entire body, you should allow up to 1 hour and 45 minutes for the session.
Booking a treatment with pre-existing conditions
Please inform our team if you have any of the following conditions:
- Diabetes
- Epilepsy
- Haemophilia
- Red and tender scar tissue
- Sunburns
- Recent use of Accutane within the last 6 months
- Currently undergoing skin treatments for thinning skin or blood
- Any other conditions you believe we should be aware of
Can I undergo a waxing treatment while pregnant?
It is typically considered safe to receive waxing services once you have entered your second trimester of pregnancy. Additionally, we provide specialised Lycon waxes designed specifically for expectant mothers who are in their seventh month of pregnancy or beyond.
Can I wax on my period?
Periods are not contraindications and therefore we can go ahead with your treatment as normal. Please wear a clean tampon.
