Before
For the best results, hair should be a minimum 3 weeks from shaving and/or 4 weeks from your last wax. Wash or shower if you are planning to wax your upper or lower body, and wear comfortable clean cotton clothing.
During
The hot and warm wax we use is designed to stick only to your body hair, not to your skin, which helps to protect the skin and make the hair removal virtually painless.
After
Your skin will be temporarily sensitive after waxing, Avoid baths, showers, swimming pools and do not use talcum powder, perfumed lotions or deodorants 24 hours after your wax.

I started my permanent hair removal journey with Luxwax 15 months ago. I was unsure whether laser or electrolysis was the right answer for me. I had an exploratory telephone consultation with Gail and was impressed with her level of knowledge, complete honesty and professional specialisation. Gail advised me on pursuing electrolysis as a permanent solution and I can honestly say that I have been very impressed with the results. I was really worried about scarring and other possible skin damage that is generally reported as the downside to electrolysis performed by inexperienced therapists. Thankfully, Gail is so skilled that none of this has been an issue. In addition, Gail is able to confidently and safely work on larger surface areas at a high pace therefore maximising appointment time. Electrolysis does require commitment and consistency - Gail was great at educating me upfront and making sure I understood the practicalities involved - but the results have been totally worth it for me. My only regret is not to have started much much earlier in life!

Excellent service by Simona. I never like to get waxed but she made it all feel super easy and simple and fast! And she was perfectly careful the whole time and made sure every hair was gone. My first time here but I will definitely be back. Thank you.
Booked via Google Maps for Heath Street, but appointment was actually at another location not listed in their system. Had to take a £15, 25-minute Uber after arriving on time. Simona called saying she would leave in 5 minutes despite the mix-up.
When I arrived, she said my hair was too short (just under 1 cm) but rushed through the wax anyway. Then she tried to charge extra for Lycon wax, even though I’d already paid £48 (more than the listed £43 full leg with Lycon).
Only after calling Gail was the charge waived and a credit added. Overall: unclear booking system, and stressful service. Wouldn’t return unless they fix these issues. Given the great reviews of Gail at the Heath street location, I would give this salon one more try and amend the review.
