For the best results, hair should be a minimum 3 weeks from shaving and/or 4 weeks from your last wax. Wash or shower if you are planning to wax your upper or lower body, and wear comfortable clean cotton clothing.
During
The hot and warm wax we use is designed to stick only to your body hair, not to your skin, which helps to protect the skin and make the hair removal virtually painless.
After
Your skin will be temporarily sensitive after waxing, Avoid baths, showers, swimming pools and do not use talcum powder, perfumed lotions or deodorants 24 hours after your wax.

LOVE this place! I found this beautiful salon just by walking past in Hampstead — and I’m so glad I did! I used to travel all the way into Central London for my waxing appointments, which was so time-consuming. Having LuxWax on my doorstep is such a game changer.

I have been using Luxwax for years, initially just for waxing and over the last 18months for laser as well. I cannot rate them highly enough. I have seen various therapists over the time I have been going there and they have all been great. More recently I have been going to Gail and Oxana. I had Mel today for laser and waxing she was excellent as well. They all have such attention to detail, they are efficient but also take it at your pace and check in with you to make sure you’re ok throughout. Not to mention, the results from the laser and waxing have been great. No reactions and lasting results. It is a beautiful salon. Very clean. Fab facilities. Even though I’m not as local as I used to be I keep going back, I wouldn’t trust anywhere else now!

I started my permanent hair removal journey with Luxwax 15 months ago. I was unsure whether laser or electrolysis was the right answer for me. I had an exploratory telephone consultation with Gail and was impressed with her level of knowledge, complete honesty and professional specialisation. Gail advised me on pursuing electrolysis as a permanent solution and I can honestly say that I have been very impressed with the results. I was really worried about scarring and other possible skin damage that is generally reported as the downside to electrolysis performed by inexperienced therapists. Thankfully, Gail is so skilled that none of this has been an issue. In addition, Gail is able to confidently and safely work on larger surface areas at a high pace therefore maximising appointment time. Electrolysis does require commitment and consistency - Gail was great at educating me upfront and making sure I understood the practicalities involved - but the results have been totally worth it for me. My only regret is not to have started much much earlier in life!

Can I wax on my period?
Periods are not contraindications and therefore we can go ahead with your treatment as normal. Please wear a clean tampon.
